Denny Sanford Premier Center among top-100 venues worldwide for ticket sales in 2021, according to industry magazine

The Denny Sanford Premier Center jumped up to it's highest end of year ranking for ticket sales in the Top 200 Arena Venues Worldwide list, according to a press release by the venue.

Pollstar magazine released their year-end Top 200 Arena Venues Worldwide for ticket sales of 2021. The list saw the Premier Center jump up to 76th, with 38,761 tickets sold and grossing $2,323,450 for reported non-competitive events, according to the release.

Shows like Toby Keith, Jeff Foxworthy, Luke Combs, Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, Dude Perfect and for King & Country anchored a busy return to live entertainment for the Sioux Falls venue, according to the release.

In 2019, the ASM Global managed venue was ranked 136th in Pollstar’s year-end Top 200 Arena Venues with 117,411 in ticket sales and grossing $10,604,802 in a record year. The venue hosted 37 shows in 2019, including Fleetwood Mac, KISS, Harlem Globetrotters, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Ghost, Miranda Lambert, Dave Matthews Band, Carrie Underwood and many more, according to the release.

“To have the live event industry shut down after five years of tremendous success was heartbreaking, but it’s a true testament to the resilience of the City of Sioux Falls and the surrounding area to come out of the gate so strongly as the industry returns to full steam,” said Jim Johnson, assistant general manager.

In 2022, Denny Sanford Premier Center is starting the first half of the year strong. With shows like Eric Church, WWE, Reba, Morgan Wallen, PBR and Shinedown.
