New dental business adds bright smiles to the community

Oct. 17—A new business has set up shop in the city with the goal of putting a bright smile on as many faces as possible.

Affordable Dentures and Implants, a franchise, expanded its services to Sanford in April. Their office is located at 3286 NC-87 next door to Walmart. The business specializes in offering customized treatment plans for denture, dental implant and dental procedures with a guaranteed best price.

Dentist, Jonathan Mosley, manages the location, but plans to own the franchise at that location in the near future. He said since he's been working in Sanford he realized the community is special and wants to be a part of it as a business owner.

"We saw a big opportunity to serve this population and it has proven to be right," he said. " A lot of people are coming in and they say that they are so glad we are here.The people (in Sanford) have been really good to me."

The waiting room is spacious and clean with chairs for waiting patients. While waiting patients can watch television on a big screen television or listen to smooth groovy and relaxing music being played there.

Mosley, 35, said it's all about creating a welcoming and calming atmosphere especially when going to see the dentist. Going to the dentist has often been avoided by people due to the potential of having a painful experience.

"I treat people like they're family," he said. "I'm honest and I don't want people to think I'm trying to get over on them. I try to meet them where they are."

The business specializes in providing dental remedies to people who often need one or more teeth to be removed and replaced

"A lot of my patients may be ashamed of where they are so we try to meet them wherever they are," he said. "Try to be a soft safe place for them to land."

Affordable Dentures and Implants was founded in North Carolina and Mosley said they deal primarily with providing patients with dentures and implants to help their patients have a better quality of life when it comes to eating better and not having to use adhesives to keep dentures in place.

"We actually do our work at a huge markdown," he said. "We aim to get these services to people who would otherwise not be able to afford it. That's one of the goals of the company."

Inspired by a dentist he would visit regularly as a teenager, Mosley became a dentist and wants to make an impact in this community.

"I want to grow, " he said. "I met some good people here. I want to grow in my field. I want to continue what we're doing and become better at it. I come in every day and try to impact people the best that I can."
