Denton Road murder suspect pleads not guilty

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A recently indicted man accused of shooting someone to death while driving down the road is claiming his innocence.

On Wednesday, Kameron Zamir Head pled not guilty to fatally shooting 22-year-old Zion Brown on Tuesday, September 12.

Head is charged with one count of capital murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Dothan Police said Brown was shot by Head while driving down the 2300 block of Denton Road in his Toyota Corolla. Several bullets hit Brown’s Corolla, which ran off the road and traveled through a vacant lot before stopping on Murray Road.

Brown was pronounced dead on the scene. After an investigation, Dothan Police issued a warrant for Head’s arrest on one count of Capital Murder. He turned himself in five days later.

Head was denied bond in October 2023 and was indicted in February 2024.
