The NFL announced Wednesday that the Denver Broncos will be the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 8 opponent at London's Wembley Stadium on Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. (ET)..

With the Jaguars designated as the home team, they will have a seven-game home schedule at TIAA Bank Field. The Jaguars will play nine road games with eight home games.

The entire Jaguars' 17-game schedule for the 2022 season will be released May 12.

The Jaguars had played a game in London every season from 2013 to 2019 at Wembley Stadium. However, the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 International Series when the Jaguars were originally scheduled to play two games in London.

Making the grade: Early Jaguars' NFL draft report card shows some promise

What we learned: Jacksonville's two offensive selections in NFL Draft is Jaguars' fewest since 2016

Roster additions: With eye toward tight ends, receivers, Jaguars extend contracts to 16 undrafted free agents

The Jaguars returned in 2021, beating the Miami Dolphins 23-20 in Week 6 at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"We are thrilled to get back over and obviously play Denver and (quarterback) Russell Wilson," Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said on the NFL Network's Good Morning Football show."

Jacksonville has been a stable over there, a lot of great fans and ownership really enjoys the London market.''

The 2022 game will feature both new head coaches — Jacksonville's Doug Pederson and Denver's Nathaniel Hackett, a former Jaguars assistant.

Hackett was among the candidates for the vacant Jaguars head coaching job before Pederson was named.

Hackett, 42, joined the Jaguars’ staff as quarterbacks coach in 2015 and was promoted to coordinator midway through the 2016 season under former head coach Gus Bradley.

When Doug Marrone was named head coach in January 2017, he retained Hackett as coordinator. However, Marrone fired Hackett after 11 games into the 2018 season.

Hackett was hired by Green Bay in January of 2019 as offensive coordinator, working three seasons with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Broncos are led by their new quarterback in Wilson, who they acquired in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks in March. Wilson is a nine-team Pro Bowler and led the Seahawks to two consecutive Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XLVIII over the Broncos.

The Jaguars lost to the Broncos, 26-24, in Week 4 last season at TIAA Bank Field.

Jaguars re-sign Gotsis

The Jaguars re-signed defensive lineman Adam Gotsis, the franchise announced Wednesday. .Gotsis, 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, enters his seventh season in the NFL and third with Jacksonville after initially being drafted by Denver in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He has played 89 career games, making 45 starts and has tallied 173 total tackles, including 19 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Gotsis has also recorded 16 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Gotsis is the highest-drafted Australian-born player in NFL history.

Gotsis appeared in 16 games and recorded 27 tackles, including six tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks last season.
