Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Everything you need to know about Week 8 showdown

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been favored in two of their seven games this season, losing both.

The first time was in Week 5 against the Houston Texans, when they were seven-point favorites. Instead, they lost by seven.

In Week 7, they were three-point favorites at home against the New York Giants. They lost by six.

This weekend, when the Jaguars play the Denver Broncos in London, Jacksonville again is a favorite. Depending on where you look, it's as little as 2.5 points and as much as 4.5.

Regardless, it might be a tough bet to take a team that is 2-5 and hasn't won a game when they are favored this year.

The Broncos, also 2-5, will be playing QB Russell Wilson this week after he sat last week when Denver lost to the New York Jets.

This best reporting

It's been a tough four-game stretch for the Jaguars as they've lost four games by a combined 28 points. The largest loss was by 8 points while the smallest was six, so all were within one score.

Trade made

It's hard when you have two talented running backs that could start for most any team in the league.

Given James Robinson's injury from last season and the fact his contract is coming up, he became the odd man out with Travis Etienne playing so well. Add in the emergence of JaMycal Hasty, and rookie RB Snoop Conner, who was drafted earlier this year, and something had to give.

It also works out well for the Jets, who lost their talented young back Breece Hall to a season-ending injury last week.

To quote Linkin Park, the Jaguars "tried so hard and got so far. But in the end it didn't even matter" against the New York Giants last week.

The Jaguars played well enough to win but couldn't get stops late, then lost the game with their prized wide receiver Christian Kirk being stopped at the one-yard line.
