Denver Mayor Michael Hancock Gave An Update On COVID In Denver

The mayor says mask wearing and social distancing needs to remain in place until the positivity rate goes down more and vaccination rates go up.

- Denver Mayor Michael Hancock gave an update on the pandemic efforts in the city this afternoon. The mayor says while we are reaching positive milestones, we're not there yet. And we need to stay vigilant as cases have been inching up over the past several weeks.

MICHAEL HANCOCK; Social distancing, not gathering in large groups, and wearing your mask. These are all the things we need to keep doing until more people are vaccinated and we can confidently say that we've prevented another surge.

- Well, the mayor stressed anybody who lives or works or visits Denver should expect certain measures such as capacity limits and the mask order to remain in place until vaccination rates rise more and case rates fall more.
