Department of Social and Health Services mobile office coming to Morton and Packwood

Jul. 31—East Lewis County residents in need of support from the Washington state Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will have access to the department's Mobile Community Services Office at the Morton Country Market on Aug. 16 and the Packwood Senior Center on Aug. 17, according to a news release.

The DSHS mobile office allows those in need to apply for food, money and medical assistance, process yearly eligibility and mid-certification reviews, review and alter active cases and find out more information about services.

Morton Country Market is located at 461 Second St. in Morton, and the DSHS Mobile Community Services Office will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 16.

The Packwood Senior Center is located at 12931 U.S. Highway 12 in Packwood, and the DSHS Mobile Community Services Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 17.
