Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men on suspicion of burglarizing a commercial property east of Highway 395 in Adelanto.

The suspects arrested were Ronald Stanley, 28, and 44-year-old Paul Cross, both of Adelanto, according to the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Authorities said at 6:33 a.m. on Monday, deputies responded to a commercial burglary in the 17900 block of Adelanto Road in Adelanto.

The area is north of Air Expressway, south of Bartlett Avenue, and west of the Southern California Logistics Airport.

Deputies discovered that an employee found the driver’s side door on one of the company trucks. He also found tools and other miscellaneous items missing from buildings on the property.

While walking the property looking for missing items, the employee located a man, later identified as Stanley, sleeping inside the secured yard and possessing some of the stolen items, sheriff’s officials said.

During the investigation, deputies learned a second suspect was seen by witnesses riding away from the property on a bicycle.

Deputies tracked the tire impressions from the bicycle to a trailer in the 12200 block of Hibiscus Road in Adelanto, less than a mile south of the yard.

After Deputy L. Torres authored a search warrant for a trailer, a man, later identified as Cross, was located inside along with the stolen items, according to the sheriff’s report.

Stanley and Cross were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of commercial burglary.

Stanley is being held without bail for a probation violation. He is due to appear Wednesday and Friday in Victorville Superior Court.

Cross is being held on $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear on Wednesday in Victorville Superior Court.
