Deputies: Break-in at Holland Township tobacco shop

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say deputies are investigating a break-in at a tobacco shop near Holland.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of an intrusion alarm around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Admiral Discount Tobacco on Douglas Avenue near the intersection of W. Lakewood Boulevard in Holland Township.

Investigators said two suspects used a hammer to smash the glass door and get into the business. The suspects were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of merchandise before deputies arrived on the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

No suspect descriptions were released.

The break-in remains under investigation.
