Deputies investigating pedestrian hit-and-run crash near New London High School

NEW LONDON, Wis. (WFRV) – A hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian near New London High School on Thursday evening is being investigated by deputies in Waupaca County.

A Facebook post from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office states that the hit-and-run happened around 6:30 p.m. on February 1 on County Highway W near the New London High School.

Deputies believe the suspect vehicle to be either a dark-colored car or a smaller SUV, and will most likely have front-end damage to the passenger side headlight assembly and passenger side mirror.

The vehicle was reportedly last seen heading northbound into New London.

Authorities are also looking to speak with anyone who may have stopped at the scene before deputies arrived.
