No foul play is suspected after a couple was found dead Thursday night in their home in southeast Leon County.

Deputies arrived at the home in the 5700 block of Dayflower Circle around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of "a deceased person," LCSO spokesperson Angela Green-Sherrod said.

"They found the bodies of a man and woman, believed to be in their 70s, in an advanced stage of decomposition," Green-Sherrod said.

The couple's family members hadn't heard from them in a while and went to the home to check in only to find them dead, she said.

No foul play is suspected, and there is no criminal investigation.
