Update: Police identify body found in water at Southern Grand Marina

ROBINSON TWP. — Police have identified the body found in the water at Southern Grand Marina late Saturday night as Dana Eric Rose, 59, of Marne.

Just before midnight, Ottawa County Sheriff's Office deputies received a call about a body in the water at the marina, located on North Cedar Drive in Robinson Township.

First responders found and recovered the body.

On Monday, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office released the results of an autopsy that found the cause of death was accidental drowning.

The circumstances of the drowning are still under investigation, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said, but foul play is not suspected at this time.
