Former Motor Sich president Vyacheslav Bohuslaev has been fired.

“The executive power of the members of the Supervisory Board, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors were terminated ahead of schedule,” the message says. “Authorities have also terminated powers of the President of the Joint-Stock Company, Vyacheslav Bohuslayev, and dismissed him from the post.”

A new composition of the supervisory board has been drawn up, with Deputy Economy Minister Ihor Fomenko elected as the new chairman.

“From now on, the strategic enterprise will operate 24/7 to meet the defense needs of the state,” the ministry said.

“The potential of the labor collective will be fully utilized. Motor Sich will develop and manufacture products in the interests of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

Oleksiy Nikiforov is currently the Deputy Mayor of the city of Zaporizhzhia. From 2016 to 2021, he oversaw municipal water supply utility company in the city.

On Oct. 22, Ukraine’s SBU security service detained the president of Motor Sich and former MP from pro-Russian Party of Regions, Vyacheslav Bohuslaev, as part of the investigation into the company supplying helicopter engines to Russia.

On Oct. 24, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested Bohuslayev for two months.

According to Ukrainian journalists, Bohuslaev has held Russian citizenship since 2000, and since 2002 had an apartment in Moscow.

On Nov. 6, Ukraine nationalized several key energy and defense enterprises: Ukrnafta, Ukrtatnafta, Motor Sich, AvtoKrAZ, and Zaporizhtransformator.
