Dermot O'Leary has revealed the adorable name of his baby boy.

The X Factor host and his wife, producer and director Dee Koppang O'Leary, welcomed their son last month – and now, Dermot has revealed they have named him Kasper.

Dermot announced his son's name live on his BBC Radio 2 show today (July 4), and also revealed that Kasper arrived to a pretty cool song playing in the background – Elbow's 'One Day Like This'.

Dermot said: "As I mentioned earlier, my son came into this world about 10 days ago accompanied by my favourite band – a lovely Guy Garvey Elbow accompaniment.

"So forgive this moment of brief self-indulgence while we play the song that accompanied that.

"So this is for you, Kasper with a K – my wife is very insistent on that," Dermot added with a laugh.

"Kasper Koppang O'Leary, welcome to the world."

The couple announced the safe arrival of their new baby over on Instagram, complete with a cute picture of a babygrow and a little toy.

"Welcome to the world baby Koppang O'Leary...," he wrote. "We're delighted to announce that we've had a baby!

"A little boy born on Tuesday 23rd June 2020 (Sankthansaften / Midsummer for you Norwegians) at 8.19am, weighing in at 6lb 13oz. Enjoying the cuddles in the newborn bubble... cats yet to be 100% convinced. Lots of love, Dermot and Dee."

Dermot has a bit more free time to enjoy the baby cuddles as The X Factor announced it is taking this year off, but is set to return in 2020.
