The National Television Awards will have a brand new presenter next year.

Following the announcement that Dermot O'Leary would be stepping down after nine years as host, the NTAs have lined up another of Simon Cowell's co-workers for the job: David Walliams!

"I am thrilled to be the new host of the NTAs – and will ensure I also win them all," he joked.

Walliams is actually a three-time National Television Award winner for his work on Britain's Got Talent, having been named Best Judge in 2015, 2018 and again this year.

O'Leary announced that he would be stepping aside as presenter of the NTAs shortly after the January ceremony this past winter.

"After 10 years of proudly hosting the National Television Awards, I have decided it's time to step down as host," he wrote on Instagram.
