Des Moines Police: Two people shot at Ingersoll Avenue bar in Des Moines

Two people were shot late Saturday night at Whiskey River on Ingersoll Avenue, Des Moines Police Sgt. Paul Parizek said.

At 11:37 p.m. Saturday officers responded to the bar at 2301 Ingersoll Ave., Parizek said. One man was found there with a gunshot wound and taken to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He is expected to survive, Parizek said.

Later, a second man walked into a West Des Moines hospital with a minor gunshot wound, Parizek said. Police determined the shooting was also from the Whiskey River incident, Parizek said.

The shooting stemmed from a dispute at the bar, Parizek said. No arrests had been made by Sunday morning, but police were investigating.
