WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ended his presidential campaign on Sunday, just two days ahead of the New Hampshire primary.

The announcement comes as former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley continue to rally ahead of Tuesday’s primary.

In this video posted on X Sunday, DeSantis says he is ending his 2024 presidential bid.

“If there was anything I could do to produce a favorable outcome more campaign stops more interviews, I would do it,” he said.

DeSantis also vowed to keep his pledge to support the eventual nominee, officially endorsing GOP frontrunner, former president Donald Trump.

“He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear or repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents,” he said.

Trump welcomed the endorsement at a rally late Sunday.

“I appreciate that, and I also look forward to working with Ron and everybody else to defeat crooked Joe Biden. We have to get him out,” Trump said.

Haley says the fight isn’t over.

“It’s now one fella and one lady left,” she said.

Senator Tim Scott, who dropped out of the race in November, also announced his endorsement for Trump over the weekend.
