College coaches, when they sign a contract, typically have stipulations within the deal that provide for bonuses when certain benchmarks are hit. Arkansas coach Sam Pittman is now cashing in on the ones in his contract.

Pittman’s total compensation for 2022 will be $3.75 million after the Razorbacks beat Missouri on Friday, triggering a $250,000 bonus in his deal with the university, per USA TODAY’s Steve Berkowitz.

Pittman is in his second year as head coach at Arkansas. He had previously served as the team’s offensive line coach from 2013-2015. The job running the show with the Hogs is his first head coaching job at the collegiate level.

Arkansas finished the regular season with a record of 8-4, giving the team its best season since 2011. The record also ensured a bowl game, the Razorbacks’ first since 2016.
