Despite high WA state gas prices, many stations around Tri-Cities have deals. Here’s a map

If you live in Washington state, you’re not imagining that the price of gas has been going up again.

Washingtonians have been paying an average of $4.58 per gallon statewide, according to AAA. Prices have been on the rise since January, when the state’s average cost per gallon was closer to $3.84.

The rest of the U.S. is currently paying around $3.64 per gallon for regular-grade gas. For drivers in the Tri-Cities area, this would be a steal.

AAA finds that the average price of gas in Benton County is $4.36 per gallon, and the same goes for Franklin County. The automobile association’s estimates show that the west side of the state has higher averages per county, with King County at a whopping $4.79 per gallon of regular gas.

But as prices continue to rise at the pump, many retailers in Tri-Cities are offering gas by the gallon below the state’s average.
