New details in fatal motorcycle crash in northeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Police Department has released new details in the fatal motorcycle crash that happened in northeast Wichita on Tuesday.

It happened Tuesday evening shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1800 block of N. Rock Rd.

Police say 41-year-old Robert Johnson from Wichita died in a collision between a sedan and his motorcycle. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

The driver of the sedan received minor injuries.

Investigators believe speed played a factor in the crash but say they are still investigating. Police say everyone involved in the crash remained on scene and has been cooperating with investigators.
