Here are details of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ wedding to Brittany Matthews

The blessed day is nearing for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his fiancee, Brittany Matthews, a founder of the KC Current women’s soccer team.

The couple, who were engaged in September 2020, were high school sweethearts. They started dating as students at Whitehouse (Texas) High School, when Mahomes was a sophomore and Matthews a junior.

Here are details of the wedding.

When

This weekend. One of Matthews’ friends shared an Instagram story Thursday. It was a photo with Matthews and the friend wrote, “It’s wedding weekend.”

Where

Social media photos show members of the wedding party and friends have arrived in Hawaii. Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu shared a photo from Hawaii, and while there’s no guarantee this is where vows will be exchanged, it does look like a great spot.

The best man

Mahomes chose his brother, Jackson, to be his best man when he weds Matthews. Jackson Mahomes shared a photo on Instagram with a message that said “best man vibes.”

Who will be there?

We know Mathieu and Jackson Mahomes will be there, as well as Chiefs offensive lineman Orlando Brown. Earlier this week, Brown’s mentor shared that Brown would be at the wedding.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce likely will be there, too, as Matthews’ Instagram story showed her flying to Hawaii with friends, including Kayla Nicole. She is Kelce’s longtime girlfriend.

Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury and his girlfriend are expected to attend, awesomeo.com said. Mahomes played at Texas Tech when Kingsbury was the coach.
