Details released for UGA football tight end coach Todd Hartley's pay raise, extension
Following a national championship season that prominently featured one of the nation's top tight ends, Georgia football tight end coach Todd Hartley is getting a pay raise.
Hartley will receive a $200,000 increase from $450,000 to $650,000 and his contract was extended through the 2024 season the Athens Banner-Herald obtained Thursday through an open records request.
The new contract increases the former UGA grad assistant's base salary from $125,000 to $325,000. Supplemental compensation such as television and radio appearances, public endorsements and interviews will make up the remaining compensation. His buyout increases from 20% to 50% under the contract.

In 2021, freshman Brock Bowers led the Bulldogs with 56 receptions for 882 yards, which was third in the nation amongst tight ends. His 13 touchdowns were sixth best in the country among all receivers.
Hartley also brought in 6-foot-7 junior Darnell Washington two years ago and this season the Bulldogs add true freshman 4-star recruit Oscar Delp and LSU transfer Arik Gilbert, who sat out last season for personal reasons.

Two four-star tight ends for 2023, Pearce Spurlin and Lawson Luckie, have already pledged verbally to the Bulldogs.
Hartley came to UGA from Miami in 2018 after serving as Mark Richt's tight end coach and special teams coordinator. Prior to that he spent four years at Marshall coaching tight ends, safeties and as a recruiting coordinator.
