Detective in Keon Gray trial may have compromised state's case

The testimony from a prosecution witness in the trial of Keon Gray, who's charged in the fatal shooting of 7-year-old Taylor Hayes last summer, may have compromised a major part of the state's case. Detective Sgt. Kevin Brown is one-third of the state's team. He's the liaison to police and the case agent who's supposed to help prosecutors try to connect Gray to Taylor's killing. He sits at the prosecution table and hears all the testimony, and he was called to the stand by his colleagues late Thursday to do some damage control. But in the process, he damaged their case.
