Detroit Airport To Receive $141M For Coronavirus Relief
DETROIT, MI — Detroit Metropolitan Airport is one of 90 airports across the state set to receive $256 million in grant funding to soften the economic impact felt by the coronavirus.
A news release issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer Tuesday said Detroit Metro will receive $141.8 million in CARES Act grant funding, the most of any airport in the state.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every business sector — big and small — across Michigan and these grants will provide much-needed resources to help airports across the state weather this public health crisis and be prepared when more people resume air travel,” Whitmer said. “I want to thank our congressional leaders for securing this critical funding.”
