Game notes: The Lions, the NFL's lone winless team, travel to California as gigantic underdogs to take on the high-powered Rams. The big story line is the matchup of quarterbacks — who were traded for each other over the winter — against their former teams. For the Lions, Jared Goff returns to the city he quarterbacked to the Super Bowl less than three years ago, and there's no love lost with coach Sean McVay. On the other side, Matthew Stafford faces the franchise that drafted him No. 1 overall in 2009. He's an NFL MVP candidate and extremely "happy" in L.A. ... Oh yea, Goff and the Lions will have their hands full with defensive tackle Aaron Donald, whom the Lions infamously passed over in the 2014 draft. He has six sacks in three games against them.
