The Horizon League has canceled the Oakland at Detroit Mercy's game, originally scheduled for Wednesday, the league announced on Monday.
The Titans programs continues to battle COVID-19 cases with the program with vaccinated players.
According to the Horizon League policy, cancellations due to COVID-19 are considered forfeits unless deemed a no-contest by the league's commissioner. Detroit Mercy sought out and was granted a no-contest ruling by Horizon League commissioner Julie Roe Lach.
Last week, the conference decided to cancel games for both Detroit Mercy's men's and women's basketball programs due to COVID-19 protocols.
The New Year's Day clash between the Oakland Grizzlies women's basketball team and Green Bay was canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Oakland program. That game was deemed a no-contest.
