Detroit Metro Airport ranks No. 2 in America in on-time performance, website says

Arguably, air travel is never not stressful. But according to a new ranking, Michigan’s flagship airport is one of the better airports at making the experience a little less miserable.

In a new listing released by AirHelp, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport ranked as the second-best U.S. airport with 100,000+ flights in 2021, based on “on time performance.”

It is followed by San Francisco International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. No. 1 on the list is Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

AirHelp, an air passenger rights company, considered factors such as airline crew member shortages, long security lines and air traffic control delays in its rankings.
