Game notes: The Pistons, who beat the Raptors in November, hit the court having won two of their past three games, though Tuesday's 133-87 loss to the Bulls was one of their ugliest showings this season. Now they welcome the Raptors, who have been playing better over the past few weeks. They won six straight from Dec. 31-Jan. 9, but lost Tuesday to the Suns. (Nothing to be ashamed of, though: The Suns have the most wins in the NBA).

Pascal Siakam has been great this month, averaging 23.7 points per game and shooting 47.2% from the field and 40.9% from 3-point range. Fred VanVleet has been even more productive in January: 29.5 points, six assists and 1.3 turnovers per game. He's shooting 46.1% from 3 this month, attempting an eye-popping 12.7 a game. Someone has to shoot more since Kyle Lowry isn't there anymore, eh?
