Detroit woman, 34, shot multiple times on I-94 near Livernois while riding in Uber
A 34-year-old Detroit woman was shot several times early Friday while in an Uber on Interstate 94 and taken to the hospital. A dark sedan, police said, pulled alongside the Uber, which was westbound, and someone began firing gunshots.
Michigan State Police said they were dispatched at about 6 a.m. to I-94 near Livernois.
A trooper applied a tourniquet to the victim's leg to stem the bleeding before rushing her to the hospital. The Uber driver was uninjured. A motive for the drive-by shooting, however, was unclear, and police were looking for a suspect.
