Developers have released the name and a sneak peek of the 200-unit, luxury apartment community coming to the former site of the Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate.

Dubbed "Vicinity at Memorial Pointe," the project will feature a mix of studio, one-bedroom and den, and two-bedroom units. It's being developed by North American Properties and Vision Realty Group.

Pre-leasing is expected to begin in January with residents moving in by spring, the developers said in a release.

"We started working on the concept for this community four years ago, so releasing the name and website are major milestones," Matt Olliges, managing partner of Vision Realty, said in a statement. "The property looks great, the buildings and amenities are taking shape and we think future residents are going to be incredibly happy to call Vicinity their home."

The apartments are located along Interstate 471, just a five-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati, with views of the city's skyline.

Some of the amenities included in the project are nine-foot ceilings, walk-in bathroom closets, stainless steel appliances, private patios and balconies, wood-style flooring and a full-size washer and dryer in each unit.

The project will also include a Bark Park, resident lounge and complimentary resident coffee bar, outdoor fire pits and a gazebo and outdoor kitchen.

Memorial Pointe − a $65 million project featuring 85 upscale, single-family homes constructed by Fischer Homes and a 79-unit, for-profit assisted living facility − is being developed by Vision Realty and Ashley Builders Group.

In November 2020, attorneys for Ashley Builders Group and a group of descendants of fire victims resolved a lawsuit with an agreement to allow building on part of the property. The agreement included a deed restriction to not build on the site of the former Cabaret Room.

A memorial dedicated to the 165 people killed in the May 1977 blaze, as well as their families and first responders, was opened to the public earlier this year along U.S. Route 27 on the 46th anniversary of the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire.
