These development projects were just completed in Carlsbad

The final part of our development report deals with recently completed projects, as put together by our planning and zoning department. Congratulations on all of these successful efforts.

Hyatt House Convention Center: located 4017 National Parks Hwy. The property owner and contractor is Crestline Building Corp. The valuation is $943,000.00.

Republican Headquarters: located at 2101 S. Canal St. The contractor is R12 Construction. The valuation is $215,000.00.

Office Building & Warehouse: located at 2411 Ferguson Rd. The property owner is Hughes Commercial Properties, LLC. The valuation is $1,836,771.73.

Commercial Offices: located at 3113 National Parks Hwy. The contractor is Rock Creek Renovations, LLC. The property owner is Jenkins Furniture. The valuation is $63,000.00. This office is complete.

Commercial Storage: located at 2501 W. Texas St. The contractor is John Myers Construction. The valuation is $140,000.00.

Industrial Subdivision: located at 2901 Connie Rd. The owner is Mesa Properties (Valerie Murrill). There is currently one metal building in place for this development.

Salon: located at 4923 W. Church St. (at the intersection of Happy Valley Rd.). The owner is Valerie Branson.

Baymont Inn Hotel: located at the 3705 National Parks Hwy. The owner is Prakash Patel. The contractor is McGill Construction. This project has created 60 units. Valuation is $800,000.00. A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.

Martin Farms Subdivision Unit 4: located to the north of Martin Farms Subdivision Unit 3, east of Old Cavern Hwy. Unit 4 work is complete and accepted by the City. This Unit created 66 new residential lots for development.

HTeaO: located at 1103 S. Canal St. Allstate Mechanical is the contractor for this job. Valuation is $600,000. Work is complete and the business is open.

Planet Fitness: located in front of Lowe’s. The owner is AVE Carlsbad, LLC. The contractor is Aventine Development Group out of Allen, TX. Work is complete and the business is open.

Wingstop: located at 3113 National Parks Hwy. The contractor is Sun Dial Construction. Work is complete and the business is open.

Dollar General: located at 5401 Old Cavern Hwy. Made Well Construction is the contractor. Valuation is $850,000.00. This project is complete.

Allsups: located at 4412 National Parks Hwy. and Chapman Rd. The developers are CESO out of Akron, OH. Contractor is Black Canyon Construction. The project is 100% complete. Valuation is $2,500,000.

Riverside School Rehabilitation: located at 1712 Johnson St. Carlsbad Schools now plan to refurbish Riverside School to handle the overflow of students from Ocotillo School. Construction is complete.

Lakeview Christian Home: located at 1905 W. Pierce St. This project is additional assisted living facilities to be named the Puckett Place Addition after Dr. Owen Puckett. National Construction, Inc. is the general contractor. Project valuation is $3,879,388.00.

Carlsbad Apartments: located at 301 W. Chapman Rd. Gallardo Construction is the contractor. This created 120 apartment units. Valuation is $14 million.

Metal Shop Building for HB Waters: located at 5216 Corrales Dr. Owner and contractor is HB Waters. Valuation is $100,000.00.

Alejandro Ruiz Senior Center Phase 1: located at 121 Kircher St. in the former Pate School building. Phase 1 of the renovation effort is complete.

New Xcel Substation: located to the west of Ocotillo School, this new Xcel Energy Substation will be service potential residential development west and north of Ocotillo School and the Quail Hollow Subdivision.

80’X100’ Metal Warehouse: located at 5450 Production Ln. The owner is Trey Hughes. The contractor is R12 Construction. Valuation is $325,000.00. This project is at 100% percent complete.

Skyline Dr. Commercial Subdivision Phase 1: located to the north of Skyline Dr. along W. Pierce St. The developers are Trey Hughes, Clay Wilson, and Scott Branson. Phase 1 of this project is to build 9 new commercial lots with entrance off of Skyline Dr. This phase of the project is complete.

St. Edward Church Rectory: located at 610 W. Stevens St. The contractor is Design Build NM by Marie Blea. The project is nearing completion.

Brininstool Commercial development: located at the old Fiesta Drive In on San Jose Blvd., this development will be a commercial park for oil field related business. The owner/developer is Joe Brininstool. All buildings are complete.
