Devin Booker exits Suns-Warriors showdown with hamstring injury
Devin Booker injured his left hamstring in the first half of Tuesday's Suns-Warriors game at Footprint Center between the top two teams in the league at Footprint Center.
Phoenix prevailed, 104-96, over Golden State as both teams are now 18-3. The Suns tied a franchise record for consecutive wins at 17 set in the 2006-07 season.
After a drive to the basket and drawing a foul on Otto Porter Jr., with 6:48 left in the second quarter, Booker appeared upset as he walked back to the free throw line.
The two-time All-Star split the free throws. He later missed a 3 and came out of the game with 5:59 left, went to the locker room and didn't return to the bench.
Booker is coming off winning Western Conference Player of the Week honors after averaging 30 points on 53% shooting (56% from 3) in Phoenix's 4-0 road trip las week.
The Suns (17-3) are riding a 16-game win streak while the Warriors (18-2) have the league's best record.
Booker experienced hamstring injuries early in the 2018-19 season and last season.
