Devin Booker put his “personal touch” on his first Converse collaboration design that went on sale days before the Phoenix Suns head into the NBA Playoffs.

The Converse x Devin Booker Chuck 70 debuted on Converse’s website — retailing for $95 — on April 12 and sold out soon after, according to comments on @converse’s Instagram posts. The Chuck Taylors also sold out on Foot Locker's website when it released on April 13.

The unisex high-top shoe “defines throwback style with a modern edge” and nods to a vintage Americana style, according to the product listing.

“Chuck 70 is part of my uniform; it goes with everything that I wear,” Booker said in his unboxing video.

The ivory-colored shoes are made from undyed canvas and have a covert reference to Arizona, too.

How Booker’s Converse pay homage to Arizona

According to Converse's press release, the NBA All-Star approached the brand about this collaboration.

"Booker’s affinity for the Chuck 70 is well documented — it’s a staple of the tunnel fit titan’s classic, minimalist wardrobe," according to the brand.

On the right heel there’s a subtle nod to Booker's adopted home state and his love for classic cars — specifically, his 1959 Chevy Impala named Pretty Penny.

"A ‘Pretty Penny’ Arizona license plate on the heel lends a personalized yet subtle touch — a reference to the plate on the first classic car Booker ever purchased," according to the press release.

The rectangular raised rubber on the back of the heel reads “Arizona 75 classic car,” “A1N” and “Grand Canyon State.”

This pays “homage to my first classic car that I got,” Booker said in Converse’s video. “Great nod, my first Converse with my first car."

The shoes’ other features include an embroidered inner ankle patch and the lack of a toe cap. People who get their hands on the shoes can either wear as-is or design it how they want.

According to Footwear News, Booker debuted the design during his tunnel walk on April 9 ahead of the Suns’ home game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Converse also released a 30-second film directed by Jaimie Sanchez that is “inspired by (Booker’s) Mexican American heritage, the Phoenix desert, classic cars and his timeless style” to accompany the April 12 launch.
