Devoll is 2023 Wagner Award recipient

ZANESVILLE – Heather Devoll has been named the recipient of the 2023 Brian T. Wagner Community Leadership Award from the Muskingum County Community Foundation.

The honor will be presented to Devoll on during the organization's Groundhog Day Celebration on Jan. 27 at the campus center of Zane State College.

Devoll was born and raised in West Virginia. She relocated to Zanesville in 2002 to open a Family Video store. In 2005, Devoll changed careers and began at Chase Bank, then joined Peoples Bank when it opened a Zanesville branch in 2009. She started as the branch manager and now works with the insurance division.

Locally, Devoll has served on the board of the American Red Cross and the Muskingum County Community Foundation Council. She now serves on Tri-Valley Boys and Girls soccer booster boards, the Scottie Youth Soccer League board and the Carr Center board. Devoll also helps with fundraising efforts for several non-profits and she is the chair of the Power of the Purse event.

Devoll resides in Nashport with her husband, Russell, and has four children − Connor Shoenleben, Jacob Devoll, Jonathan Devoll and is Caydee Shoenleben.

The Wagner Award was established by the Muskingum County Community Foundation Council in 2005 to honor volunteer leaders between the ages of 18 and 55 while encouraging other young adults to lead efforts to improve Muskingum County.
