DeVry University to move its Naperville headquarters and main campus to Lisle

Six years after moving its headquarters to Naperville, DeVry University is pulling up roots and relocating to a building in Lisle along Interstate 88.

Lisle officials said Central Park of Lisle at 4225 Naperville Road will be the new home office and main campus for the university.

DeVry is expected to open in Lisle Oct. 23, in advance of the start of the November teaching season.

Founded in 1931, the university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in six areas of study on-site and online.

In 2018, DeVry moved its home office from Downers Grove to 1200 E. Diehl Road in Naperville. A year later it consolidated its academic locations in Downers Grove and Naperville to one Naperville location, also at 1200 E. Diehl Road.

Elise Awwad, DeVry’s chief operating officer, said in a news release the Lisle-based home office and main campus will enable the university to provide a space better suited to meet the needs of students and faculty.

Lisle Mayor Christopher Pecak said his village is committed to building partnerships that help provide the education and skills needed for the workforce and businesses.

“DeVry University’s announcement aligns with that goal by addressing the needs of area industries,” Pecak said.

The university will be located on the building’s fourth floor, with ample space for students and faculty, a commons area for students to study or collaborate and access to vending and on-site tech support, the release said.

The building offers 24-hour lobby security, an outdoor plaza, a day care, food service and a fitness center with a pool and exercise classes.
