Dewey's Pizza to open second Northern Kentucky location

Almost three years after it shuttered its Newport on the Levee restaurant, Dewey's Pizza is set to open another location in Northern Kentucky − this time in Covington.

The new restaurant will be located at 43 West Seventh St., neighboring Braxton Brewing's Covington taproom, according to a news release. It is part of a partnership between Braxton and Dewey's, as customers will be given the option to dine in the taproom or at the restaurant.

"We are excited to serve the Covington community alongside Braxton Brewing Company," Chuck Lipp, president of Dewey's Pizza, said in a statement. "The revitalization of the community and the alignment between brands made it an appealing choice.”

Dewey's plans to open the Covington restaurant in early 2023. It will be the pizzeria chain's second restaurant in Northern Kentucky and eighth in the Cincinnati region, the release states.

Dewey's closed its Newport on the Levee location in early 2020, after nearly two decades in operation. It currently operates a restaurant in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
