DeWine orders flags at half-staff in honor of Queen Elizabeth II

Just hours after her death, Gov. Mike DeWine is honoring the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
DeWine has ordered that the United States and State of Ohio flags be flown at half-staff, in accordance with the order issued by President Joe Biden.

The queen died “peacefully” Thursday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, officials with Buckingham Palace announced. She was 96.
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

Flags will fly at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state until sunset on the day of her interment.
