Dexter Pets Up For Adoption: Jori, Hayes, Garfield & Marbles & More

Do you want to add a new member to your family and do something good for the Dexter community at the same time? Adopt a pet from a local shelter or organization! During the coronavirus pandemic, many animal shelters in Dexter and environs are still working to find forever homes for dozens of cats, dogs and other adorable critters coming through.

Across Michigan, there are thousands of dogs, cats and other animals of all ages without a home — many of whom are located not too far from you. For those looking to adopt, a great place to start the search for an adorable new friend is at Kitty Chalet Playhouse Rescue, where Garfield & Marbles the cat is waiting patiently, or another local adoption center. If you aren't sure if you have time to take care of a pet year round, many shelters also offer opportunities to foster pets until they are placed in permanent homes.
