Diamond Custom Homes has announced the completion of a 7,138 total square foot custom estate home in Quail West Golf and Country Club, overlooking the 11th green of Quail West’s Lakes Golf Course.
The West Indies-style estate, located at 6253 Highcroft Drive, is an open great room floor plan designed by architect Jon Kukk, AIA, of Kukk Architecture & Design, P.A., with interior design by FreeStyle Interiors and landscape architecture by Christian Andrea ASLA, PLA Principal of Architectural Land Design, Inc. The estate has four bedrooms, four baths, two half baths, study. The home has two, two-car garages, one on each front side; one serves as a private owner’s entrance.
“Originally intended to serve as a model, this home was sold in June 2021, approximately six months after we began construction,” said Diamond Custom Homes President Michael Diamond. “The luxurious yet low-key elements throughout the estate blend form and function to create the best of both worlds– privacy, yet with perfect spaces for entertaining.”
A pavered circular driveway leads to a center roundabout. Leading up to the mahogany double-door entry is a pavered pathway. The luxurious covered entryway opens directly into the foyer with views through the home to the outdoor living area.
The estate features custom cabinetry and built-ins by EDGE, vaulted ceilings and intricate ceiling designs, delicate trim work and numerous expansive windows, inviting abundant natural and adding more open ambiance. A relaxed, modern and earthy aesthetic incorporates traditional elements in the walls, flooring and furnishings; clean, modern lines and silhouettes, plentiful texture, soft white walls and ceilings, and added contrast provided by warm wood tones mixed with neutral painted millwork. The color palette, in coordination with the wire-brushed wood flooring, includes a mix of neutral tones, oatmeal linen upholstery, warm grays and tans, and rich chocolate browns for contrast. The custom cabinetry and built-ins have simple, classic profiles and matte pale oak stains with rich neutral painted cabinetry.
The foyer has floor-to-ceiling vertical tongue-and-groove on one wall, painted in a warm pewter color. The great room, which opens to the kitchen, features a beautiful open vaulted ceiling, a comfortable seating group on one end, a large kitchen and, in the center, another intermediate seating group which opens to both the great room and kitchen, as well as to a small bar for entertaining.
The estate’s user-friendly gourmet kitchen flows masterfully. Complete with a cooktop wall, large center island, bar and service area, storage room and walk-in pantry, the kitchen is aesthetically appealing and ideal for entertaining. The estate prioritizes privacy with the entire left wing of the house dedicated to a powder bath, study and the vast master suite, while the right wing hosts two bedrooms plus a VIP guest suite. On the left wing, a large built-in cabinet adds additional storage. Opposite the cabinet is the powder bath, which features green terrazzo tile on the floor and walls, mid-tone, stained cabinetry and a wall-mounted faucet. Near the powder bath is a private study with access to the breezeway and master bedroom. The study features multiple windows, and the walls are covered in a herringbone-textured grasscloth. The tray ceiling is highlighted by wide tongue-and-groove painted in a warm taupe, and a large desk faces the glass entry doors and media wall.
The master suite features a large sitting area overlooking the outdoor living area. The master suite is accessible via a separate, covered private walkway and entrance from the two-car garage leading into the master vestibule. The spacious master bathroom is designed with dual walk-in closets and dressing area, a master gallery, dual sinks and water closets, a large dual entry shower, and a freestanding tub to maximize relaxation. The master bath, with neutral and calm tones, has double doors opening directly in view of the shower. A center freestanding tub is accented by stone mosaic detail on the floor and on the wall behind the tub. The shower features beautiful clerestory windows visible from the master bath entry. The master bath offers dual vanities with waterfall countertops, as well as dual linen cabinets.
On the home’s opposite side, each of the guest bedrooms features the same neutral and quiet vibe, each with its own distinct design style. One guest bedroom features a whitewashed pecky cypress ceiling and one includes floor-to-ceiling painted wainscot. All guest bedrooms have wood floors and adjoining bathrooms.
The large great room offers a grand hall atmosphere, blending the areas into one large space. Upon opening the tall sliding doors, which are also in the dining room adjacent to the outdoor kitchen, a comfortable seating area is centered on an outdoor fireplace.
A spacious outdoor living area offers approximately 800 square feet, accessible from nearly every room in the home, with a large, covered kitchen and dining area, and automatic lanai screens and shutters. The pavered pool deck features a sun deck off the master suite, a custom four-sided rectangular pool, square infinity edge spa, full outdoor kitchen, and secluded conversation area with a fire pit.
