The band has sold 10 million records in its career and collected three platinum and five gold albums. "I Made It" is Diamond Rio's latest release and 10th overall.

In addition, Diamond Rio has received four Group of the Year awards from the Country Music Association, two Top Vocal Group awards from the Academy of Country Music and one Grammy Award.

The band is known for its vocal harmonies, varied instrumentation and near-exclusive use of only its band members on recordings instead of session musicians.

Diamond Rio has had same lineup since 1989

Formed in Nashville, Tennessee, Diamond Rio has kept the same members since 1989 after previously undergoing changes to its lineup.

The band was signed to Arista Nashville in 1991 after assuming the name Diamond Rio. Bandmates charted more than 30 singles through 2006, including four more that reached No. 1.

The band's sound was originally defined by mainstream country, bluegrass and rock influences, but later albums took on more influences from Christian country music and country pop.

In addition to the 10 studio albums, Diamond Rio has released four Greatest Hits compilations and a Christmas music album.

Band members also released their first-ever autobiography, "Beautiful Mess: The Story of Diamond Rio," on Thomas Nelson in 2009.

Known for its charity commitments, including being long-time spokespersons for Big Brothers Big Sisters, the band has raised more than $1 million for nonprofits and has received the Minnie Pearl Humanitarian Award.

Tickets to see Diamond Rio in concert at the Renaissance Theatre range from $15 to $60 and are on sale online at rentickets.org, or by visiting or calling the Renaissance box office at 419-522-2726

Opening the show will be country singer/songwriter Mo Pitney, who will perform in Cincinnati on Friday night.
