Dick Roue to present 'The Art of Storytelling' at Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning
Oct. 5—GONVICK — Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning's fall series continues with Dick Roue of Fosston presenting "The Art of Storytelling" at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Gonvick Community Center, 170 Main St.
"Roue has over 60 years of experience in public speaking, storytelling and poetry-reading to audiences ranging from pre-schoolers to nursing home residents," a release said. "He has been telling jokes and stories to audiences of all ages and venues from churches and coffee shops to seedy bars."
He will share pointers on how to and how "not to" and sprinkle in plenty of humerus stories to illustrate the points. He will show that humor can be hilariously funny without being off-color," the release added.
Doors open at 9 a.m. with the program starting at 9:30 a.m.
