Dickson County Election is Thursday. Here's what you need to know.
The Dickson County Election is Thursday with multiple local races as well as state and federal primaries.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and are scheduled to close at 7 p.m. at sites throughout the county.
The local offices on the ballot include county commission, county mayor, school board, and Charlotte mayor and council.
The Dickson Herald will post the results online election night and in the Aug. 10 print edition of The Herald.
The state primaries will decide the Republican and Democrat candidates for state representative – Dickson County is split between Districts 69 and 78 – and for federal representative for Tennessee Congressional District 7 in the upcoming November election.
As of Thursday, just over 2,600 people had voted during the early voting period that ended Saturday, according to the county election office.
