Did Georgia’s Charity Lawson find the Ken to her Barbie on ‘The Bachelorette’ this week?

Ballparks, Barbies and boring dates. It’s week three on “The Bachelorette.”

“Girls just want to have fun, girls just want to find love. That’s me,” Charity Lawson, a Columbus, Georgia native said on week three of her journey to love as “The Bachelorette.”

Helicopter date

Immediately into episode three, Charity visits the men at the mansion and gives them some news: they will be traveling to Oceanside, California for the next phase of their journey.

She then chooses Brayden for her one-on-one date (gross).

However, she does express some concerns. “I’m not sure if this is too much for him or if he is willing to fight for me,” Charity said.

The pair take off in a helicopter ride and they sip champagne while admiring the view from above.

They then land at Petco Park on the Padres ballpark field. Charity and Brayden play ball together, chat and smooch the day away.

But then the drama begins as Brayden tells Charity his doubts about the process.

“I was visibly startled,” Charity later said. “I don’t want to be with someone if they don’t think I’m a priority or they aren’t willing to fight.”

As the sun sets, their date continues on the field with dinner and drinks. They also write sweet little notes to each other on baseballs and exchange them. Brayden’s baseball says that he will fight for her and this makes Charity very happy.

They then embrace and kiss while fireworks explode in the night sky.

My thoughts: the date was nice, but Brayden just isn’t for her. I’ve made my mind up and I don’t think it’s changing.

Barbie girl group date

Back at the mansion, the men get a group date card.

Joey, Aaron B., Michael, James, Caleb, Aaron S., Sean, Xavier, Tanner, Adrian, Dotun and John are written on the date card.

The group date is Barbie themed and each guy is tasked with writing a song to the tune of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” The winner would earn one-on-one time with their very own Barbie.

The guys are all dressed like different types of Ken dolls, from Classic Ken in a tuxedo, Ice Skating Ken in a leotard, Cowboy Ken, Sugar Daddy Ken, Birthday Suit Ken and more.

And let me just say: phew! These men brought it. But it was none other than Sean AKA Double Denim Ken who won the show.

His abs, I mean, performance won me over too, I have to say.

But his attitude, not so much. And this also rubbed the men the wrong way during the after party. Sean was very confident, bordering arrogant and it took a toll on the entire group.

Also during the after party, Charity brought Dotun to her room and had a special conversation with him. He spoke so genuinely and eloquently about Charity and his feelings for her. When the pair returned downstairs, Charity gave Dotun the group date rose.

“No one has ever talked about me in that way,” she told the cameras, expressing her heartfelt flattery.

World’s most boring date

I have so many thoughts about this date, but overall, it was awkward. It was just not what I wanted for Charity.

Charity and Warwick had an entire amusement park to themselves, so one would assume their date was exciting and fun; however, it was the most boring date I have ever witnessed on the show.

They seemed like they had fun when they were playing games, but as soon as they sat down and tried to have a conversation, the couple seemed off.

“We are on different pages,” is what Charity told Warwick as she sent him packing at the end of the date.

Awkward.

In the car after his elimination, Warwick fell asleep.

More Brayden drama

At the cocktail party, Aaron B. somewhat sabotaged the night.

Aaron B. told Charity that Brayden had expressed concern about a woman “who has dated 20 of his friends,” to which Charity said she was “frustrated.”

“He has a rose on his chest. I will rip that s*** off,” she told producers about Brayden.

The men got angry with Aaron B. because they lost time with Charity over the issue.

Charity had a private conversation with Brayden to try and clear things up, but she became more confused than ever and left the party.

Rose Ceremony

At the rose ceremony, she eliminated James, Aaron S. and Adrian.

This means she kept Brayden another week.

My thoughts on the ceremony: I’m furious at this point. Charity, please let Brayden go. Also, I’m super sad that she sent James home.

Come back next week for week four’s recap.

Charity’s season continues next Monday night on ABC.
