Did Homeland Security Raid the Duggar Family Home? The Duggar's Say No

Was the Duggar family home in Arkansas really raided by Homeland Security? Homeland Security says that their home was, in fact, raided by them since there is an ongoing investigation against the Duggar's currently.

Although a spokesman for Homeland Security did confirm that the Duggar's home in Arkansas was raided and news channel KNWA also confirms it, the Duggar's are denying the whole thing even happened.

When 20-year-old Jedidiah Duggar, who is running for Arkansas State Representative says that he doesn't live there and is "unaware" of any investigation.

He said, “I don’t live there, and I am not aware of any investigation"

Although Homeland Security confirmed the ongoing investigation against the Duggar's, a spokesperson for them had this to say about everything, speaking for the whole family.

“We were shocked to see a news report today state that our home was raided by federal law enforcement agencies. This is not true. To the best of our knowledge, it’s also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind.”

The spokesperson continued, saying:

“Living a life in the public’s eye has taught us that it is best not to reply to every rumor and piece of ‘fake news’ that is circulated online. It would be a full-time job if we attempted to do so. However, because of tonight’s media coverage, we thought it is important to address this rumor with you. Thank you for the love and support that we can always count on in you our fans and friends.”

Although the Duggar family completely denies these allegations about their home being raided and that the family is being investigated, a spokesperson for the Homeland Security Investigations confirmed that the statement about the raid and the investigation is in fact true. They did confirm that the reports are true, however, they did not give any further comments regarding the raid or the ongoing investigation against the family.

Why would the Duggar's flat out deny these reports? Is there something they are hiding about their family and their home that they don't want anyone to know?

This isn't the first time the family has been under scrutiny or an investigation, for that matter. In fact, back in 2015, Josh Duggar was accused of molesting a few of his sisters and a female cousin of his. He admitted to the accusations against him and apologized to everyone, including the family as well as the public. Because of the molestation accusations and Josh admitting he did do this to a couple of his sisters and a female cousin, the show, '19 Kids and Counting' was canceled the same year this all came out to the public, 2015.

Currently, there is an ongoing fraud investigation against Josh Duggar. Apparently, earlier in 2019, Josh bought some property that was already owned by someone else. A man by the name of Carl Echols previously bought a 5-acre property from his cousin back in 2006 for $17,500. However, Josh Duggar must not have done his research properly because, according to Echols, Josh bought the same property 10-years later for $1,000. Echols said that Josh didn't do "a full title search of the property." The trial is slated to start for Josh Duggar in April of 2020.
