What did kids tell Santa after he was rescued Sunday in Galesburg?

GALESBURG — Children in the Galesburg area had the chance Sunday to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause on Main Street in Galesburg after they were rescued from the roof of the First Mid Bank and Trust by the fire department.

After the rescue and before the Holly Days parade firefighters earned several hugs by thankful children following the rescue, as Santa and Mrs. Claus mingled with the crowd, taking pictures with children.
