It makes sense that Wellington, the winter playground of equestrians and the horses who love them, would attract celebrities. After all, those well-fitted riding outfits and well-appointed barns aren’t cheap, and that kind of fabulousity attracts fabulous people. The Western communities have seen their share of the rich and famous taking up residence, like the following folks:

Vanilla Ice: He’s known as a rapper and reality TV house rehabber, but locally, Rob Van Winkle is also known as a passionate Wellington resident, who is seen in and around the county eating, stopping, collaborating and listening.

Madonna: The once and future Material Girl spent some time renting a home in Wellington during equestrian season, although she never bought one.

Kelly Klein: The former model, currently an author and photographer, now lives on Palm Beach but owned a stylish condo in Wellington for years.

Nick Zano: The “Legends of Tomorrow” and “What I Like About You” actor is a graduate of Wellington High School.
