There’s ongoing speculation surrounding the asking price and potential suitors for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

As Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot noted, via a report from Denver KOA-FM’s Benjamin Allbright, the Broncos “supposedly at least pondered” a second and fourth-round pick “possibly from the Patriots.”

If the New England Patriots really did offer up those two picks as a trade, it would mean the team is trying to swing a deal without sacrificing one of their own players to send back in return. The team currently owns the No. 46 overall pick in the second-round of the 2023 NFL draft, along with picks No. 107, 117 and 135 in the fourth.

So they’d have the ability to swing a trade like that one if they wanted.

Allbright floated out a report last week stating the Broncos are asking for either a first-round pick or a second-round pick and a player for the budding wideout.

In the report, Allbright mentioned the Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns as being in the hunt for Jeudy’s services.

Fast forward to the present-day situation and things appear to still be at a standstill. The Cowboys have already moved on by trading for Brandin Cooks, while the Patriots and Browns are still likely in the hunt for a receiver.

However, Allbright reported on Tuesday that the Patriots have not been willing to pay the price tag being asked for Jeudy.

The Browns don’t have a first-round pick in this year’s draft, but they do own the No. 42 pick in the second-round.

A trade for Jeudy not involving a premium pick, such as No. 14 overall, would be the best value for a Patriots team that still needs help at receiver, cornerback, safety and offensive tackle. From the looks of it, they’ve been actively working behind the scenes to add another receiver that takes the offense over the top.

But if the price tag isn’t right, they might end up having to look elsewhere.
