Where do I vote? What Summit voters should know about voting and Issue 1

The polls are open until 7:30 p.m. across Ohio as voters decide the fate of Issue 1.

The Summit County Board of Elections has announced the following polling location changes for the Aug. 8 special election, a single-item ballot to decide the fate of statewide Issue 1:

Issue 1: Everything to know about Ohio Issue 1 and the August special election

On-site changes at assigned polling places

  • Akron precincts 5D, 5E: Go to Mason CLC, 700 E. Exchange St. This is the opposite side of the same building (Mason Park Community Center) that served as their previous polling place.

  • Hudson precinct 1D: Go to the Barlow Community Center's Memorial Room, 41 S. Oviatt St. This is a different room in the same building as before.

  • New Franklin precincts 1C, 3A: Go to 5625 Manchester Road as assigned; the location, formerly called Manchester United Methodist Church, is now known as Franklin Global Church.

Temporary polling location changes

  • Akron precincts 2A, 2B: Voters should go to St. Anthony School, 80 E. York St.

  • New Franklin precincts 2A, 2B, 2C: Voters should go to Apostolic Church Annex, 1717 Turkeyfoot Lake Road.

  • Twinsburg precincts 2A, 2B, 2C and Twinsburg Twp. precinct A: Voters should go to Twinsburg High School, 10084 Ravenna Road.

Permanent polling location changes

  • Akron precinct 2F: Go to Summit County Job Center, 1040 E. Tallmadge Ave.

  • Akron precinct 2H: Go to St. Anthony School, 80 E. York St.

  • Akron precinct Akron 8F: Go to First Baptist Church of Akron, 1670 Shatto Ave.

  • Akron precinct 8G: Go to Christ Woodland United Methodist Church, 444 N. Hawkins Ave.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 1A: Go to Preston Elementary School, 800 Tallmadge Road.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 1B: Go to Lutheran Center – Northeast Ohio Synod, 1890 Bailey Road.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 3D: Go to Community VineyardChurch, 2543 State Road.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 3E: Go to Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 5D: Go to The Lighthouse, 315 Graham Road.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 6C: Go to Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 Bailey Road.

  • Cuyahoga Falls precinct 6D: Go to United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 2819 Hudson Drive.

  • Hudson precincts 1A, 1B: Go to Hudson Library and Historical Society, 96 Library Street.

  • Hudson precincts 2B, 2C, 2D: Go to Laurel Lake Retirement Center, 200 Laurel Lake Drive.

  • Hudson precincts 3B, 3C, 3D: Go to Barlow Community Center – Assembly Room, 41 S. Oviatt St.

  • Fairlawn precincts 4A, 5A, 6A: Go to Grace Church – Bath Extension, 565 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road.

The Board of Elections said all voters affected by these changes have been mailed an updated voter information card reflecting new voting locations. Any registered voter may find their correct polling location for the Aug. 8 special election by visiting the "Precinct and Polling Location Info" link at www.summitcountyboe.gov.
