Did Russell Tovey & Steve Brockman Split? Here’s Why Fans Think So

Russell Tovey is reportedly back on the market.
Earlier this week, Tovey posted a cryptic message on social media which has The Daily Mail reporting that he has separated from his fiance, personal trainer, rugby player, and former adult content creator turned architectural designer, Steve Brockman.
In the Instagram post, Tovey posted an image of himself and his dog Rocky in silhouette facing the water as the sun sets. The original caption of the post read “’It’s just you and me kid,” however the actor has since edited it to read “This is all for you my son…”
Add to this evidence that the two have seemingly unfollowed each other on social media, which also points to a breakup.
The couple has had a bit of a rocky road throughout their relationship. The two began dating in 2016 and were engaged in 2018, but broke up that same year. The split didn’t last long and they were back together in August 2019.
While they were engaged, whether or not they were headed to the altar was still up in the air. Tovey admitted that, after the initial split, he sold his engagement ring and gave the money to his brother, which made the status of their engagement murky.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Tovey explained that he wasn’t sure himself. “Well, I don’t know how it works. Because we were [engaged], then we broke up, now we’re back together. Is it like Snakes and Ladders? Do you go back to the beginning of the game and have to work your way back up again?”
While neither Tovey nor Brockman have officially announced the split, we wish them both well regardless of their relationship status.
