Did you see Diane Keaton? Kathy Bates? These celebs have also been spotted in Asheville, WNC

I spy with my little eye, some celebrities in Asheville and Western North Carolina.

Asheville is well known for drawing in tourists, and even big name movie stars, musicians and other celebrities can't deny the draw of the North Carolina mountains. Recently some of the stars of "Summer Camp," filming in Hendersonville with Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Eugene Levy and Beverly D'Angelo, were spotted on the streets of Asheville taking in the mountain town and all of the quirks it has to offer.

The towns and cities of Western North Carolina have welcomed many a familiar face whether filming nearby, playing a gig at the Orange Peel or just on vacation.

Take a look at some of the stars spotted in the area over the years.

Diane Keaton and Kathy Bates take a break from filming 'Summer Camp'

Several people have posted photos on social media of Keaton in Asheville in the past few weeks. Keaton won the Academy Award for best actress in 1977 for her role in "Annie Hall" and was nominated for an Academy Award for best actress three other times: 1981 ("Reds"), 1996 ("Marvin's Room") and 2003 ("Something's Gotta Give").

Bates has also been spotted in Asheville recently. She won the Academy Award for best actress in 1991 for "Misery" and was nominated three other times for best supporting actress: 1999 ("Primary Colors"), 2003 ("About Schmidt") and 2020 ("Richard Jewell").

'Three Billboards', 'Hunger Games' star Woody Harrelson spotted in WNC

When "Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri," was filmed in Sylva in 2017, Woody Harrelson and some of his fellow castmates decided to take a gander at the surrounding area, according to Explore Asheville. And it wasn't his first time in the area.

Harrelson was also spotted during the filming of "The Hunger Games" in WNC and the Foothills.
